Hi! This is Kristyn Carter and I am planning the benefit concert, for my senior project, that Phil Surrett talked to you about. I cannot explain how grateful I am that you will be performing at the concert. You are truly an answered prayer. Is December 1st still okay?
Thanks Again,
Kristyn Carter

Hi Kristyn,

December 1st still works for us. We'll reserve that date. As you are able, fill us in on as many details that you can (i.e. time, place, focus, amount of time we need to play, other things planned for the evening, etc). Thanks, looking forward to working with you.

Thanks so much! I'm meeting with the pastor of the host church sometime in the next couple of days and I will get you that information as soon as possible. Once again, I can't thank you enough for this!

Sorry I'm so late getting back to you, but I met with the pastors and stage crew of Osborne Baptist Church today and we worked out some of the logistics of the concert.  The focus is simply Christian worship and the concert is titled NOW (Night of Worship) 2013.  They have asked that I get a few things from you.  They need to know if you need a sound engineer?  What lighting you would prefer? They asked for the bands rider for the technical side as well as hostpitality, and what kind of presentation you would like going on during their performance.  They said that if you would get them the set list they would load the lyrics into a slideshow and put it into their system, if that is more convenient.  The concert will start at 6:00pm on Sunday, December 1st.  Can you be there at 3:00pm to start loading everything in and do the sound check?

The rough schedule for the night is:
5:30 Doors Open
6:00 Opening Statement
6:05 Malcolm "Flame of God" Pickard
6:50 Thank Sponsors and Offering
7:00 Jason Tuggle Band
8:00 Altercall/ Closing

Just let me know if you need any more information.  I was also wondering if Jason could lead an altercall at the end of the concert? Thank you again for everything you are doing.  I can't explain my appreciation!

Thanks,
Kristyn Carter

Is there any way you could send me their rider sometime this week?  The church would like to start getting things finalized and ready for the concert.

Thanks,
Kristyn Carter

Hi Kristyn,

I have attached the band's technical rider and hospitality rider.  The tech rider explains all requests for lighting, sound and how we do projection for lyrics. The tech rider is pretty specific, but we are flexible and willing to work with churches on the sound specs. Ensuring that there will be subwoofers, multiple monitor mixes, reverb for vocals, and separate channels from any opening acts are things that important to us. The band will arrive and begin load in by 3:00pm. Looking forward to serving and worshiping with you all! Please let us know if you need anything else from us or if there is anyway we can further help you or the church in preparation for the event.

With love,

Thanks so much! This is perfect. I just have a few questions. Is the band planning in staying over night? And, we have had a family volunteer to come out and cook for everyone and their families in the day of the event. Will that be okay with them? If so, how many people are coming with them?

Thanks,
Kristyn Carter

Kristyn,

The band will not be staying overnight. The family cooking dinner will be fine. Just ask that they supply an option for the vegetarian in our group. We will be traveling with 6 (possibly 7) people.

Thanks,

I talked to Osborne today about the riders and everything on the hospitality rider is perfect but we have a few questions about the technical side of things.

1) Will you be providing the amps, pedalboards, and guitars?
2) OBC does not have a drum riser. Will that be an issue?
3) OBC has har wired ear mics and 1 stage mix.  Will that work for the concert?
4) OBC has Audix and Sure drum mics? Will either of those be acceptable?

Those are the only things that they thought could possibly be an issue.  Just let me knoow what I need to do.  Thanks for everything!

Thanks,
Kristyn Carter

Hi Kristyn,

1. We will be bringing all of our own guitars, drums, instrument amps, and pedalboards.
2. We are fine without the drum riser.
3. We'll make that monitor situation work. It'll be fine.
4. Both of those drum Mic sets should be fine. We'll choose when we get there and look at them.

Let us know if you need anything else from us. Thanks!
