My name is Lizbeth Mungaray and I am a sophmore in high school. I am Mexican and am bilingual. Sometimes being bilingual is stressful because everyone wants you to speak Spanish. There are three things that I am passionate about: fashion, reading, and music. Recently, I discovered that I want to become a fashion designer, even though I do not dress very fashionably. Fashion combines designing, uniqueness, creativity, drawing, and so many more things into one article of clothing. I find it extraordinary to indulge in books and reading. The problem that I have is that I absolutely cannot read a book twice. My love for music started since I was a little girl, but my shyness and timidness stopped me from doing what I Iove. After being in chorus for many years, I stopped and now I dedicate some time to writing down lyrics and unraveling the meaning behind them. The music that I listen to is chosen very carefully by me. That is how I also figured out my two favorite quotes from a song. They are “Every plan is a tiny prayer to Father Time” and “Loving is watching someone die, so who’s going to watch you die?”. Most people think that the second quote is creepy, but if you think of it, it is very true. If I did not love my father, I would have never gone to see him in a hospital for six years and would have never endured the pain of watching him suffer. Though it might sound horrible, that is what love is and when he passed away, I thought of those two lines. There is so many things that you could state about those quotes.  I am a very calm and laid back person. There is only one type of persons that I cannot stand and those are apathetic people. People who do not have enough sense to hold a legitimate intellectual conversation. For this reason, my sister calls me Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory and I also have a small group of friends because of this. The reason that she calls me Sheldon is because I am fact oriented and always like to add uncalled for information here and there. Also, I tend to argue a lot about controversial situations or problems. Solitude is a glorious thing for me because I think about many things and formulate theories throughout the day. The reason that I enjoy solitude is because I am insecure, and though it is hard to admit, I care what people have to say about me. This has led me to become a nerd and led to me being obsessed with Harry Potter and The Big Bang Theory. My obsession for The Big Bang Theory did not begin long ago and my obsession for Harry Potter started when I was in kindergarten. This occurred because my father was also a fanatic of Harry Potter. My nerdiness also led me to become passionate about Latin. This is because, to me, it is interesting to see how my native language is derived from a dead language. All of the activities that I enjoy have defined me and have shaped me into who I am today.
