Hi, my name is Jacob Hylton. I’m an awkward, gay, eighteen year old who likes to be creative and have fun. I'm a very artsy person, love meeting new people, and just being me. I've been in band for seven years now. I play tuba in the Pride of Morehead Marching Band. Marching band has impacted my life greatly; I have no idea what I would do without my band family. It has made me a stronger leader and person and has given me friendships I will never forget. The biggest thing I do is theater; theater is basically my life. I started theater at the age of eight and fell in love with it. I've been in eighteen plays, six of them at Morehead. Right now I am in the play “Mean Girls” (Yes, we are doing Mean Girls the movie) ( I know as you are reading this you are dying because I am too....It’s Mean Girls)! I play the part of Damian. It’s a fun role and I can’t believe I’m in this play. I'm hoping to have my name in lights one day. I'm also the president of the MHS Drama Club. Drama club is one of my favorite things here at Morehead because I get to help teach people more about theater and acting. Something I like to do in my free time or when the school needs me to is make videos . I make most, if not all, the videos here at Morehead. By videos I mean things such as commercial videos for plays, and events that happen here at school. (Making a Mean girl video right now and two videos for our yearbook). I have a lot of awkward friends and we do a lot of awkward things but my best friends in the whole wide world are Katelyn and Tatiana. I love these girls so much, I have no idea what I would do without them. They have been with me through everything. We are going to be best friends for life. I just found out that I have just been accepted to Catawba College where I plan to major in Theater and videography.
